Boy Hurt in Madera Pedestrian Accident on Ellis Street

Madera, California (September 19, 2023) – A boy was hit and injured by a vehicle in Madera on Tuesday morning, according to the authorities.
The crash happened on Ellis Street and Owens Street at around 7:20 a.m.
Authorities said a 26-year-old man was driving a Honda when he collided with a child who was crossing the road with his brother and a crossing guard.
The eight-year-old child who was struck was taken to Valley Children’s Hospital with major injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The accident is under investigation.
