Police said a Toyota Solara was traveling westbound on Valencia Road when it hit the rear of a dump truck

Tucson, CA – Ba Thi Parham, 82, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a traffic crash in Tucson on Wednesday morning, the Tucson Police Department said.
The incident took place near South 12th Avenue and West Valencia Road at about 11:30 a.m. June 5.
Police said a Toyota Solara was traveling westbound on Valencia Road when it hit the rear of a dump truck.
The driver of the Solara, a 77-year-old man, and Parham, who was his passenger, were both rushed to a hospital.
Parham was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The driver of the dump truck, a 33-year-old man, was not hurt.
The driver of the Solara was cited for failure to control speed to avoid a collision.
The crash is under investigation.
