James Vaughn Killed in Clovis Car Crash at Herndon and Helm Avenues

Clovis, CA. – Fresno County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died after colliding with two other vehicles at an intersection in Clovis as James Vaughn, 81, of Fresno.

Authorities say Vaughn was traveling eastbound on Herndon Avenue when he crossed over the center median and collided head-on with two oncoming vehicles.

Vaughn died at the scene.

Authorities say Vaughn suffered a medical episode and lost control of his vehicle leading to the crash.

One of the other drivers was taken to the hospital with complaints of pain to the chest.

Clovis, CA. – A driver was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday afternoon in Clovis.

The fatal collision was reported around 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Herndon and Helm Avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A vehicle was traveling eastbound on Herndon when it crossed over the center divider and into the westbound lanes and collided with two oncoming vehicles.

The unidentified driver of the eastbound car died at the accident scene.

The driver of one other vehicle was hospitalized with unspecified injuries.

The occupants of the third vehicle were unhurt.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
