Lancaster, CA. – At least three people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision involving a stolen SUV that took place Saturday afternoon at an intersection in Lancaster.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lancaster Station, the accident took place around 3:40 p.m. at Avenue J and 20th Street East.
Deputies said a man was driving an allegedly stolen SUV when he saw deputies on patrol and took off. The deputies did not initiate a pursuit. Moments later, the SUV collided with a sedan and another car at the intersection.
Two occupants in the sedan and the SUV driver were hospitalized with injuries considered non-life-threatening.
The crash is under investigation.
