At least one person suffered serious injuries after a car swerved across traffic lanes and hit a parked gas truck on I-10 in Colton

Colton, Calif. – At least one person sustained major injuries in a traffic collision involving a car and a gas truck that happened Wednesday morning in Colton.
The California Highway Patrol said the wreck occurred around 10:50 a.m. on westbound Interstate 10 near Pepper Avenue.
Reportedly, a car swerved across traffic lanes and hit a parked gas truck. The car got wedged beneath the big rig.
Two adults and two children got out of the car after the collision.
Firefighters and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.
At least one person was transported to the hospital with major injuries.
The No. 4 lane was shut down to allow a rotator tow truck to lift the gas truck from on top of the car.
CHP officers are investigating the cause of the accident.
