One person was trapped inside a vehicle that caught fire after colliding with a semi-truck, according to the Arvin Police Department.
Bakersfield, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fiery fatal traffic collision involving a semi-truck in Arvin on Monday afternoon.
The crash happened at about 3:18 p.m. on November 13, on North Wheeler Road near Herring Road.
According to the Arvin Police Department, a gray semi-trailer and a vehicle were involved in the crash. The vehicle and the rear axle of the semi caught fire after the collision.
One person was trapped inside the burning vehicle.
At least one person was killed in the crash, according to Arvin PD officers reported, adding that a third vehicle may have been involved.
The name of the victim was not immediately released.
The crash blocked the northbound and southbound lanes of North Wheeler.
No additional details were provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
