Ashley Godinez Killed in Sacramento Crash on Dillard Road near Highway 99
Sacramento, California (June 22, 2023) – Authorities have publicly identified one of the two people killed in a head-on collision Tuesday night in Elk Grove.
The fatal crash at around 9:20 p.m. on Dillard Road near Highway 99, according to the California Highway Patrol South Sacramento division.
37-year-old Ashley Godinez was driving a car that collided head-on with another car driven by a 27-year-old man.
Godinez and the unidentified man were killed in the accident.
A 2-year-old girl was seriously injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Authorities say the man was not wearing a seatbelt and was possibly intoxicated at the time of the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
