Murchek was trying to cross the interstate when she was struck by a commercial vehicle

Tucson, CA – The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle in Tucson on Saturday morning has been identified as Ann Murchek, 64, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The crash took place on Interstate 10, near Tangerine Road at about 7:00 a.m. June 8.
According to the report, Murchek was trying to cross the interstate when she was struck by a commercial vehicle.
Murchek was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported in the incident.
Authorities are working to determine the cause of the collision.
