Man Injured in Oakland Accident at Embarcadero and Oak Street

Oakland, California (November 8, 2023) – Authorities responded to a car versus train crash at an intersection in Oakland Wednesday morning.

The wreck happened at around 7:25 a.m. at Embarcadero and Oak Street.

According to a local source, the SUV's driver went around crossing arms and got dragged onto the tracks. The Amtrak train struck the SUV.

The SUV sustained damages.

The man said to be in his 30s sustained injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately released.
