Phoenix, AZ – Ajuamungu Chubaka, 25, was identified by the police as a man on a bicycle killed in a Wednesday night crash near 53rd Avenue in Phoenix.
According to the Phoenix Police, the wreck happened around 8:30 p.m. January 1 near 53rd Avenue and Baseline Road.
Investigators said Chubaka was crossing Baseline Road mid-block when he was hit by a vehicle.
Chubaka was transported to a nearby hospital where pronounced deceased.
The driver stayed at the scene and impairment was not believed to be a factor in the crash.
