The CHP said a woman driving an Audi south on River Road drifted across the double yellow lines and collided with an oncoming Ford truck
Salinas, Calif. – A 79-year-old Pacific Grove man was killed in a crash near Salinas in Monterey County on Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck took place on River Road and Las Palmas Highway at about 2:40 p.m. February 3.
The CHP said a woman driving an Audi south on River Road drifted across the double yellow lines and collided with an oncoming Ford truck.
The impact caused the truck to roll onto its roof.
The Pacific Grove man driving the truck died at the scene.
A female passenger in the truck was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the Audi suffered minor injuries.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
