Modesto, CA – A 40-year-old man was killed in a Monday afternoon traffic collision after a police pursuit at Crows Landing Road in Shackelford.
According to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred at Crows Landing Road near South 7th Street around 3:35 p.m.
Reportedly, the pursuit began when deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop near Crows Landing Road and Boulder Avenue when the suspect's car a vehicle that had a man, woman, and boy, all of whom were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, whose name was not disclosed, died at the scene.
The man was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon, domestic violence, dissuading a witness, and had another warrant for domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon, the police said. No additional details regarding the mishap were not provided.
An investigation is underway.
