Lompoc, CA. – Four people were hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Sunday afternoon between Lompoc and Vandenberg Space Force Base.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department responded to the scene and found four people injured.
One of the patients was a young girl. She was transported to Lompoc Valley Medical Center in critical condition.
Three adults were transported to Marian Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Investigators closed Highway 1 in both directions following the crash. Southbound traffic was diverted onto Santa Lucia Canyon Road, and drivers heading northbound were using the shoulder to pass through the scene.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
