Three Killed in Sutter County Crash on SR 99 near SR 113

Sutter County, CA.– Three people were killed in a crash between two vehicles in Sutter County on Saturday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The wreck was reported at about 12:45 p.m. on SR-99 near SR 113.

The CHP said a Dodge Challenger was traveling southbound on SR-99 at a high rate of speed when it crossed the double yellow lines and collided head-on with an oncoming Nissan Sentra.

The driver of the Dodge and two people in the Nissan were killed in the accident.

Three other parties in the Dodge were transported to hospital for treatment of their injuries.

CHP said alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the incident.

The crash is under investigation.
