3 hospitalized after a multi-car crash on Highway 163 near the 805 Freeway in San Diego
San Diego, CA. – Three people were hospitalized following a rollover collision that occurred on Wednesday afternoon in San Diego.
The crash happened around 3:18 p.m. on Highway 163 at the Interstate 805 Freeway transition, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Subaru was traveling south on I-805 when it struck a semi-truck in unclear circumstances.
The collision sent the Subaru off the roadway and on an embankment before it re-entered the Freeway.
The Subaru then collided with a passing Ford Eco Sport driven by a 70-year-old San Diego man.
The driver of the Subaru and a passenger as well as the driver of the Ford were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The 28-year-old man driving the semi-truck was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not immediately released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
