Riverside, CA. – Three people, including a Riverside County Sheriff's Department deputy, were injured in a car accident that happened near Mead Valley on Tuesday night.
The accident happened around 9:51 p.m. in the area of Brown Street and Oakwood Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white sedan reportedly ran a stop sign and crashed into the deputy's patrol car. The impact of the collision caused the sedan to roll down an embankment and overturn.
Two people were trapped in the overturned car and had to be extricated by the firefighters before being taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
The deputy was also injured in the crash and was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
