Two people were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated before being transported to the hospital in critical condition
Los Angeles, CA. – Multiple people were injured in a violent crash involving a police unit on Tuesday evening in Encino.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Balboa Boulevard and Burbank Boulevard at around 7:45 p.m.
A police patrol car and two other vehicles were involved in the collision.

A third person suffered minor injuries but declined transport to the hospital.
More details about the accident were not released.
