Portland, Oregon (November 6, 2023) – The Portland Police Bureau released the identities of the two teens struck and killed by a train Saturday night in Portland.

Kaleb Banzer, 19, of Boring, and Brayden Fear, 19, of Hillsboro were killed in a crash that occurred on Interstate 84 at Northeast 28th Avenue at around 9:39 p.m. November 4.

The accident occurred on Interstate 84 at Northeast 28th Avenue at around 9:39 p.m.

According to the authorities, a single vehicle had been involved in a speed-related crash but no injuries were reported.

Two occupants reportedly jumped over a barrier to retrieve their damaged car when they were struck by a train.

They were both pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team responded to the crash and is investigating the accident.
