Santa Maria, CA. – Two people were seriously injured in a traffic collision that left a driver trapped in their vehicle early Sunday morning at an intersection in Santa Maria, authorities said.
The wreck was reported around 1:15 a.m. on Skyway Drive at Auto Park Drive.
According to Santa Maria police, two vehicles were involved in the accident.
The driver of one of the cars got trapped in the wreckage.
Santa Maria firefighters responded to the scene and extricated the victim. AMR ambulance personnel also responded to the scene.
Two people were taken to a nearby hospital with moderate to major injuries.
Police officers are investigating the collision.
