Delano, CA. – Two people were hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Thursday evening in Delano, the California Highway Patrol said.

The accident was reported around 6:17 p.m. on eastbound Avenue 8, just west of Road 152.

Authorities said two vehicles were involved in the collision.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and transported one person to Kaweah Delta Hospital by air ambulance with unknown injuries.

Another person was also hospitalized with unknown injuries.

Police officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
