Irvine, CA. – Two motorcyclists died in a collision involving tens of bikers early Sunday morning on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway in Irvine, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident was reported around 12:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway at Culver Drive.
CHP said about 50 motorcyclists were riding as a group when the accident occurred. There were no details about what led to the collision.
Two motorcyclists were killed in the accident.
It was unclear if anyone else was injured.
All northbound lanes of the freeway were shut down for about four hours following the crash.
