Merced County, CA. – Two people were killed in a crash that left an infant injured on Monday night in Merced County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 11:50 p.m. on Highway 152 at Turner Island Road, between Los Banos and Dos Palos.
A man, woman, and one-year-old infant were in a Kia traveling south on Turner Road when it collided with a semi-truck traveling west on Highway 152.
Both vehicles ended up in the center median after the collision.
The man and woman in the Kia were pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The infant was injured in the accident and was transported to Valley Children's Hospital in unknown condition.
The semi-truck driver was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
