The Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to a crash involving two vehicles at around 2 a.m. near Interstate 17 and Adams Street.
Reports revealed that one vehicle was traveling the wrong way causing a collision with a second car.
The wrong-way driver suffered severe injuries while the second motorist sustained minor injuries.
Both were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The police are investigating to determine if both drivers were impaired at the time of the collision.
