Santa Barbara, CA. – Two people had to be extricated after a car crash that happened on Friday night in Santa Barbara.

According to the Santa Barbara City Fire Department, the accident happened around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Carrillo and Santa Barbara streets.

A gray Toyota Camry collided with a black Chevy Suburban in unclear circumstances.

Two people were trapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated before being transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by AMR ambulance.

More details about the accident were not released.

The Santa Barbara Police Department is investigating the cause of the accident.
