Sacramento, California (September 17, 2023) – Two people were taken to hospital after a crash that involved a stolen vehicle on Sunday evening in midtown Sacramento.

According to the Sacramento Police Department, the accident happened around 6:51 p.m. at P and 19th Streets.

Police reportedly spotted a stolen vehicle while conducting a traffic stop and attempted to stop it, but the driver did not yield, triggering a pursuit.

The chase ended shortly when the suspect collided with another vehicle.

Two people in the car that was hit were taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.

There were four juveniles in the stolen vehicle, and their condition was not disclosed.
