El Dorado, CA. – Two people were hospitalized after a head-on accident that happened Monday evening in El Dorado, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collision took place around 6:38 p.m. on State Route 49 at Union Mine Road.
Authorities said a Honda Fit and another car collided head-on near the intersection under unclear circumstances.
The crash resulted in major injuries. Both drivers were transported to Marshall Hospital for treatment. The report did not specify the extent of injuries sustained by each patient.
Police officers are investigating the cause of the collision.
