An SUV and a sedan collided and the impact caused two vehicles to collide with a school bus
Phoenix, AZ – A female teen, identified as 17-year-old Beyonce Vasquez has been identified as the passenger killed after two vehicles collided at a Phoenix intersection on Friday afternoon.
The deadly accident took place shortly after 1 p.m. on December 20 at 51st Avenue and Bell Road.
Authorities said an SUV struck a car carrying two teens and the impact caused two vehicles to collide with a school bus, and a man in a wheelchair on the sidewalk.
One of the teens, identified as Beyonce Vasquez, was transported to the hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries where she died.
Neither the driver of the bus nor the man in the wheelchair was injured.
An investigation into the incident is underway.

Phoenix, AZ – Two teens were hurt in a multi-vehicle collision involving a school bus on Friday afternoon in north Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The accident took place on 51st Avenue and Bell Road shortly before 1 p.m.
An SUV and a sedan reportedly crashed into each other and the impact caused them to strike the school bus.
A teenage girl and a teenage boy were pulled out of the sedan.
The girl was taken to a hospital with critical injuries while the boy was said to be in stable condition.
There were no kids on board the bus at the time of the crash and the driver of the bus was not injured.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
