Sacramento, CA – Two people were injured in a head-on traffic collision on Elkhorn Boulevard in Sacramento Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the mishap happened at around 4:48 a.m. on the westbound Elkhorn Boulevard just west of Sageview Drive.
A grey Hyundai collided head-on with a Jeep Wrangler for unknown reasons.
The impact pushed the Hyundai 30 feet off the roadway injuring two people.
One person suffered severe injuries and was transported to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment. The other victim sustained minor injuries.
Additional information about the wreck was not provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
