2 Hospitalized after 5-Vehicle Collision in Wenatchee

Douglas County, Washington State (September 27, 2023) – 42-year-old William J. Freeze of Naches and another person were injured after a multi-car crash in Wenatchee Tuesday night.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the crash happened on State Route 28 near 3rd Street at about 10 p.m. on September 26.

WSP says all five vehicles were traveling eastbound on Highway 28.

Four of the vehicles stopped in a construction zone, but the vehicle driven by Freeze continued and struck a car, causing a chain reaction.

Freeze and another driver were injured and transported to an area hospital.

Drugs and alcohol were suspected to have played a role in the collision.

The officers are investigating possible charges against Freeze.
