Apache Junction, AZ – One person was killed and an Apache Junction police officer injured in a crash on Apache Trail in Apache Junction Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Apache Junction Police, the mishap happened at around 4:20 p.m., near Apache Trail and Valley Drive.
Investigations revealed the Officer was responding to a high-priority
call for service when he collided with the other vehicle.
The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for an evaluation.
The driver of the other vehicle was declared dead at the scene.
The identities of the victims involved were not disclosed.
