Seattle, Wash. – Authorities are investigating a crash involving a pedestrian and a train that happened in Seattle on Friday afternoon.
The deadly incident was reported just after 3 p.m. in the 300 block of South Jackson Street, just north of King Street Station.
The pedestrian reportedly fell from the platform onto the tracks and was hit by a BNSF train.
Firefighters extricated the trapped victim.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported. The accident is under investigation.
