Sacramento, CA. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car near Carmichael in Sacramento on Monday night.
The fatal collision happened around 8:13 a.m. in the area of Fair Oaks Boulevard and Marshall Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A pedestrian was riding a skateboard in the area and was struck by a Chevrolet Suburban traveling westbound on Fair Oaks Boulevard.
The pedestrian died at the accident scene.
The name of the victim was not immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
