Both passengers of the Civic were hospitalized with major injuries.
Butte County, CA. – At least one person died in a car crash that left two other people injured on Wednesday morning near Gridley in Butte County.
The fatal crash occurred on Highway 99 near Ord Ranch Road at around 6:41 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Honda Civic occupied by three people was traveling north on the highway when it collided with a silver GMC Sierra pickup truck that attempted to enter SR-99 from Curley Lane.
CHP says the driver of the Civic was killed in the accident.
Both passengers of the Civic were hospitalized with major injuries.
The GMC driver sustained only minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
