1 Killed in Fiery Car Accident on 580 Freeway near Castro Street in Oakland
Oakland, California (September 3, 2023) – At least one person died in a fiery car crash that happened early Sunday morning in Oakland.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened around 1:57 a.m. on Interstate Highway 580 Freeway near the Castro Street off-ramp.
Two vehicles reportedly collided on the freeway in unclear circumstances. One of the cars reportedly caught fire after the collision.
CHP says at least one person was killed in the accident.
