The incident took place on Interstate 80 near American Canyon Road just 5:15 a.m.
According to the report, there were at least two collisions on the eastbound lanes of the freeway and multiple vehicles were involved.
One person was killed in the incident.
At least three lanes were shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.
