Oceanside, CA.- A motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Oceanside on Saturday afternoon, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
The crash happened on Coast Highway near West Street at about 1:53 p.m. September 28.
The police said a group of upto six sport motorcycles were traveling northbound on Coast Highway when one of them slowed down for traffic stopped ahead to make a left turn.
Another rider did not slow down in time and rear-ended the motorcyclist ahead.
The two riders were ejected by the impact of the crash and both ended up in the southbound side.
One of the motorcyclists was then hit by a southbound Toyota Yaris while the other rider collided with another southbound vehicle.
The motorcyclist who was hit by the Yaris was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The other victim was treated for their injuries at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Police are investigating the incident.
