1 Killed in Car Crash on 5 Freeway near Smokey Bear Road in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, California (November 9, 2023) – At least one person was killed in a car crash that happened on Thursday morning in Lebec.

The fatal crash was reported at around 4:39 a.m. on 5 Freeway near Smokey Bear Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

At least two vehicles were involved in the morning crash, but the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.

CHP says at least one person was killed in the accident.

The name of the deceased person was not immediately disclosed.
