A Jeep was traveling eastbound on SR 299 when it failed to negotiate a curve on the roadway and collided head-on with an oncoming Dodge Ram
Humboldt County, CA. – One person was killed in a head-on collision that occurred in Humboldt County on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 7:32 a.m. on westbound State Route 299, east of Essex Lane.
A Jeep was traveling eastbound on State Route 299 when it failed to negotiate a curve on the roadway and drifted into the westbound lanes, colliding head-on with an oncoming Dodge Ram.
The Jeep driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The parties in the Ram were transported to Saint Joseph Hospital in Eureka.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
