A pickup truck was traveling westbound on South Avenue when it pulled out from a stop sign into the path of a big rig
Fresno, CA. – One person was killed in a collision involving a big rig on Thursday afternoon in Fresno County.
The deadly collision happened around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cedar and South Avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A pickup truck was traveling westbound on South Avenue when it pulled out from a stop sign into the path of a big rig traveling northbound on Cedar Avenue.
The big rig crashed into the pickup truck, sending it into a nearby vineyard while the semi came to a stop in the front yard of a house.
The driver of the pickup died at the scene.
The semi-truck driver was unhurt.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
