Orange County, CA. – At least one person died in a fiery car crash involving a wrong-way driver on Sunday night in Irvine.
At around 9:28 p.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a car accident on Highway 73 near McArthur Boulevard.
A vehicle was reportedly traveling the wrong way at a high rate of speed when it slammed head-on into another car.
One of the cars burst into flames after the collision.
CHP reports that one person was killed in the collision.
The name of the person who died was not immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
