Pedestrian struck, killed by Car on 5 Freeway near Rolling Hills Casino in Corning

Corning, CA. – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car and five other people were injured in a subsequent collision in Corning early Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision was reported just after midnight on October 7 on Interstate 5 Freeway near the Rolling Hills Casino and Resort.
A 39-year-old man from Corning was attempting to cross the road when he was struck by a 2004 Ford Edge driven by a 52-year-old Fresno woman.
The unidentified pedestrian was killed in the collision.
Subsequent crashes occurred after the pedestrian accident.
At least five people were injured in the collisions and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
