One Dies in Fresno County Accident near Nees and Fairfax Avenues
Fresno County, California (August 20, 2021) – One person died following a crash involving two vehicles in Fresno County on Friday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
Just before 4:30 p.m., CHP said a sedan that was heading north stopped at a stop sign at the intersection then pulled out in front of a large Ford pickup truck.

The sedan was struck on the passenger side by the truck and pushed into an irrigation canal.
The sedan became partially submerged in water and the driver died at the scene.
The driver of the truck, identified as a 37-year-old man, was uninjured.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
