1 Killed in Orange County Crash on Pacific Coast Highway

Orange County, California (November 6, 2023) – One person was killed and another arrested on suspicion of DUI after a traffic collision in Orange County on Sunday night, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The wreck occurred on the Pacific Coast Highway near Coast Highway and Palisades Drive at about 8:20 p.m. November 5.

According to the report, a 1999 Plymouth, believed to have been heading south on the PCH, was rear-ended by a 2019 BMW driven by Evan Madison Owen, 43.

The driver of the Plymouth was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Owen was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Being a trained volunteer firefighter in Los Angeles County, Owen was charged with second-degree murder.

The accident is under investigation.
