Santa Maria, Calif. – One person was injured in a crash involving a big rig on State Route 166 in Santa Maria, according to California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened shortly before 9 a.m. on Highway 166 west of Tepusquet Road.
A semi-truck hauling crude oil collided with a Ford pickup pulling a trailer with two vehicles on it. The events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
At least one person sustained minor injuries in the collision.
The highway was closed in both directions between Highway 101 and Tepusquet Road.
At 12:25 p.m., the CHP reported the highway was reopened with one-way traffic controls, with full reopening expected within about 20 minutes.
An investigation is ongoing.
