Newark, CA. – One person was hospitalized following a two-vehicle accident on Thursday morning in Newark, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 6:25 a.m. on southbound 880 Freeway, just north of Mowry Avenue.

Fire officials and medics responded to the scene. They aided one person who suffered minor injuries due to the collision. The patient was taken to Kaiser Permanente Fremont Medical Center for further treatment.
The vehicles were blocking the express lane and lane number 1 following the crash.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the accident scene.
