Driver Hospitalized in Critical Condition After Crash near 67th Avenue and Camelback in Glendale
Glendale, Arizona (March 26, 2023) – One person sustained life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle collision that took place Saturday morning in Glendale.
The wreck was reported at about 6:30 a.m. near 67th Avenue and W. Camelback Road.
A black car and a truck with a trailer were involved in the accident.
Officers revealed that the black car was speeding west on W. Camelback when it passed through the intersection with 67th, possibly on a red light.
The car hit the truck, which was traveling north on 67th.
The truck overturned onto its side near the intersection, and the car struck a fence and some light poles before stopping.
One of the drivers was hospitalized in critical condition.
Officers are investigating intoxication as a contributing factor.
Investigators closed the intersection as they worked the scene.
