Spanaway, Wash. – Authorities have released the name of a 50-year-old Spanaway man who died after colliding with a 14-year-old driver on Highway 7 in Elk Plain.
According to the WSP, Christopher J. Hall was killed when a teen driving a stolen vehicle at high speed crashed into his vehicle on Highway 7 at 211th Street Court East, near Spanaway.
Hall was pronounced dead at the scene. His long-time girlfriend, a 50-year-old woman, and the 14-year-old driver were injured in the crash.

Pierce County, Wash. – A 50-year-old man was killed and two others were injured in a traffic crash involving a teen driving a stolen vehicle in Pierce County early Sunday.
According to WSP, the crash happened at about 2:55 a.m. on southbound State Route 7 at 211th Street Court East.
WSP says a 50-year-old Spanaway man was traveling southbound on Highway 7, south of Spanaway when he tried to make a U-turn across all lanes of the highway and was struck by a 14-year-old Tacoma driver who was heading in the same direction.
Reportedly, the teen was speeding in a stolen car when the crash occurred.
The Spanaway man died at the scene. His passenger, a 50-year-old woman, was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma with serious injuries.
The 14-year-old driver was injured and was transported to Marcy Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma.
WSP said none of the three people involved in the crash was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The crash impacted traffic on Highway 7 for five hours.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
