
Spanaway, WA.- Driving under the influence is suspected to have played a role in a crash that left two people with major injuries on State Route 7 in Spanaway on Tuesday afternoon, according to a report by the Washington State Patrol.
The accident happened at around 12:47 p.m. on November 25, 2025, on southbound SR 7 near Pacific Avenue South and involved three vehicles.
The sequence of events leading up to the accident was not immediately determined. The WSP responded to the scene to gather more information and evidence.
A suspected DUI driver was taken into custody at the scene. Medics transported two individuals to a hospital with serious injuries.
The crash caused the closure of both right lanes of southbound SR 7 as crews worked at the scene. The accident is under investigation by the WSP.
