National City Police officers responded to the scene and performed CPR on the victim until medical personnel arrived

National City, Calif. – A man was killed after being struck by a vehicle while walking in National City last week Tuesday, according to National City Police.
The deadly crash happened at about 5:10 a.m. on November 21, on East Plaza Boulevard, just west of 805 Freeway.
National City Police officers responded to the scene and performed CPR on the victim until medical personnel arrived. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The incident remains under investigation.
