According to Phoenix police, Felix was walking on a private property near the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle

Phoenix, AZ.- The pedestrian who was hit and killed by a vehicle in the Maryvale area of west Phoenix on Thursday morning has been identified as Armando Felix, 71, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The crash was reported at around 5:40 a.m. September 11, near 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road.
According to Phoenix police, Felix was walking on a private property near the intersection when he was struck by a vehicle.
Felix was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver who hit the pedestrian remained at the scene.
According to the police, impairment is not believed to have played a role in the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
